Healthy Eating in Kids
A few things that helped us get here:
1) Get a high chair/ booster seat from the time they start eating solids, it helps a lot in setting a mealtime routine. No gadgets please!
2) It is okay to be messy, let them try touching their food, try to squish it and put it in their mouth, which helps them understand about various types and textures of food
3) Do not force feed - there are a ton of things Agu boy hates to eat but then he LOVES a lot of things too. So we have never forced him to try dal, sambar or brinjal as he happily hogs on cucumbers, carrots, spinach and every fruit available in this planet 😬C’mon I wouldn’t like anyone forcing me to eat spinach, beetroot or beans 🤷🏻♀️
4) Set an example, ditch the things you don’t want your kid to eat. We cannot expect them to stay away from fries and coke if we eat it in front of them, in a way our eating habit improved after this little guy came to our life 😄
Disclaimer: Agu boy doesn’t get to eat such fancy lunch everyday 🙈
