Last year when Agu started preschool, he kept correcting his teacher his name is Agu, every time they called him Pranav. As he was in a settling down phase we said it’s okay to stick to Agu in school. He started recognizing AGU, learnt to trace his name AGU and finally started writing it whenever he got a piece of paper, on an artwork or craft.

This year though he is known as Agu in class, we along with his teacher decided to introduce Pranav while writing his name. He was really not happy about it because it was complicated 🙈

So today I picked him up from school and he says
“Mama today I played with Teddy and TJ, can you believe that boy’s name is TJ??
Me: Aha, that’s a cool name!
Agu: Yes Mama, and can you believe it has only 2 letters??!!
Me: uh huh
Agu *after a pause*: I really wish my name had only 2 letters
